taxhelp.uk.com was founded in 2006 by James McBrearty to provide a solution to self employed people, addressing their key concerns of quality, service and affordability.

We are registered in practice by the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), which has become the leading professional body for those providing tax compliance services and related activities in the UK. Members are qualified by examination and practical experience to assist individuals and businesses in complying with their tax obligations.

James McBrearty is a fellow of the Association, serves on their Member Steering Group and is also the ATT representative for HMRC’s Working Together project. He is also the author of two books for small business, which have been endorsed by a New York Times bestselling author.

We only act for individuals and the self employed, and are dedicated to helping people pay less tax and avoid fines.

Fees are often one of the biggest worries for people either using or considering engaging an accountant.

Rather than charge you per hour as many accountants do, and only be able to give you an estimate of fees, we offer affordable fixed fee packages. Estimates can sometimes unfortunately be too low, resulting in a nasty surprise later, whereas with our packages you know in advance what it will cost and you can budget for this.

In addition, our packages include benefits that would be extra with other advisers. By offering package levels you are free to move between them from year to year. Several of our clients have started on the Bronze package initially and then moved to the Silver package as their business grows. We also have the custom Gold package for complex affairs available as well.
