This service meets the needs of the employed and provides reassurance that their tax affairs are in order. The service covers employee tax return advice, preparation, submission and agreement with HMRC. Also provided is an independent tax computation. In many cases employees may have expenses that are allowable, and the return service covers the tax reclaim.
Also included are general tax queries relating to employee tax, as part of the fixed fee.
The bronze level service is the base service we offer for the self-employed, and covers accounts and return preparation.
For the bronze level service clients are performing their own bookkeeping, which can be in whichever format suits them best.
We take the summary income and expenses and ensure that nothing has been missed out, and that all reliefs have been claimed for in preparing the accounts.
As part of this service, we also include meetings at a time and location that is suitable for the client. Taking time away from your business to visit an accountant costs you money in lost billable time, so we offer meetings outside of the normal 9-5.
The bronze servive is particularly suited to those just starting in self employment, or with straightforward requirements.
Our most popular service for the self-employed is the silver level, as this includes several extra benefits above the bronze level.
In addition to all the bronze benefits, the silver level includes bookkeeping. With this included, clients just need to provide their invoices and receipts and we prepare the accounts from the source documents.
Also included is an accounts analysis report. This provides a report extracted from the accounts information that shows the most relevant expenses as well as the most relevant changes from year to year. The great benefit of this is that you have a straightforward and easy to understand report that can be used for planning. It is a sad fact that many people do not understand the normal accounts prepared for the tax return, and how the results can be used for planning.
An additional benefit is the inclusion of dealing with questions relating to any HMRC investigations in relation to the prepared accounts, should they arise. Many competitors charge hundreds of pounds extra for ‘insurance policies’ that may not cover standard enquiries, whereas we do not.
Our top-level service, this provides all the benefits of the silver level however is suitable for those with more complex affairs.
This could range from having several self employments to multiple rental properties, or those with specialised bookkeeping requirements.
For these cases, we would quote a price at the initial meeting based on the specific requirements of the client.
For all of our packages, there may be situations where clients could be behind with their accounting and tax requirements. To assist in these cases we offer discounts where multiple years are completed together.
We can also offer a review service to double-check previous years returns and accounts in order to provide reassurance.
