I am pleased to announce that I have just achieved the Bronze level under the Duke of York’s Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award(iDEA) scheme.
The iDEA aims to be the digital and enterprise equivalent of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
With the learning and challenges being online, you can access these through a suitable device whenever is convenient to you.
There is a wide selection of modules to select from covering important areas of business knowledge, each one counting towards the award.
Once sufficient points have been gained, then you can apply for the award certificate… which is posted to you from Buckingham Palace!
I highly recommend the course, there is good content in the modules which will be of great benefit.
Having used many different platforms for online training, I was impressed by the iDEA site and the different modules with their interactivity.
One research module has you opening another browser tab and applying the training as you go to answer the module questions from your own real research.
Another great example is the image specialist module, where you are taken through a typical work scenario responding to the client’s requirements and feedback as you work through the project.
Many of the modules employ this style of practical learning, rather than just a lecture with questions at the end.
As the iDEA aims to be the digital equivalent of the Duke of Edinburgh award, I’m looking forward to completing Silver and Gold as my brother recently completed the DoE Gold level which is such a great achievement.
