Know anyone who has ignored a HMRC tax return reminder?

…there is an opportunity to get up to date, and avoid further penalties thanks to a new HMRC campaign for those that are behind.

The campaign runs until 15th October, to take advantage of this people will have to complete the outstanding tax return(s) for any year(s) up to 5th April 2012 and also pay any tax and National Insurance that they owe.

In return the penalties charged will be minimised, after that date penalties of up to 100% of the tax due could be levied.

HMRC has identified several thousand people who it will be targeting after this date, so it makes sense to take advantage of the opportunity.

We have helped several clients bring their affairs up to date in the past, so have experience in this area.

In addition, if we are preparing several tax years together there will be a discount on our fees as the work will be combined.

If you know anyone who has fallen behind, now is a good time for them to get back up to date.
